Greetings to all of you! This week:
Elder M. Russell Ballard has some strong words to say regarding the role of women in the Church. A lot of it is positive. Some of it can be construed as negative. Feminists don’t like it. We go through his words and give you the answers, because that’s what we do at This Week in Mormons. We provide answers to the tough questions.
Why are so many missionaries dying? Seriously, what gives? It appears even the Church is aware of the public’s perception.
A brilliant blogger writes a piece encouraging girls to be modest, but totally misses the mark in providing a reason beyond, “My sons are perverts and can’t handle it if you look hot.” Great counsel there, sister.
Women want to attend the priesthood session of General Conference. We should probably let them. Then they’ll never want to go again. Zing!
Also, medical marijuana. What’s our take as Latter-day Saints? An LDS mother is advocating its legalization in Utah so that her son can take it (in pill form). It’s a pretty interesting topic and we hope you’ll lend us your ear.
