Mormon Newsroom Announces Mysterious Press Conference

In a cryptic tweet early this morning, the Mormon Newsroom has announced a news conference with "Church leaders" to be held this morning. Stay tuned.

The Newsroom’s Facebook account just said this is about religious freedom and nondiscrimination. That could mean many, many things.

Something is brewing in Salt Lake City. Very early this morning, the Mormon Newsroom Twitter account announced that a news conference with “Mormon leaders” will be held at 10 AM MST today, January 27, 2015.

Could this be female ordination? A public pardon of John Dehlin? Temple wedding changes, as we discussed last fall? New humanitarian initiatives? New temples? The announced construction of the Conference Stadium? We have no idea what this is about, but they’ve bothered to tweet it out and announce that there will be a live video stream. We’ll check if the live stream will be on YouTube, and if that’s the case, we’ll embed it here in the post. Otherwise, once will have to go to to check it out. But we highly encourage you to stay on our site, because bounce rates!
